Hola Todos,
This last week was way different than my other weeks. I'll write a quick summary why.
So we have p-day on Mondays and thats chill usually talk to the fam for a good bit and we went and got a massive pizza and I threw down probably like 15 slices and 1L or more of coke. And I got to play some basketball as I bought one last monday. Then right after P- day we started dibbys or intercambios, basically I switched with another elder for a day or so. It was crazy successful, first hour with him and then the next day we had great success. Not really sure how the people we found are doing , but Ill ask him.
Then on Wednesday it was a normal day, not much success here in Caรฑales but taught some lessons. Thursday we had interviews with our mission president and that took awhile, so we didnt start doing our missionary work until after lunch. Then Friday we had zone conference, super chill. We had to take a bus to the main city Villahermosa, only like an hour ish bus ride not bad. Basically sat and listened for 2-3 hrs then we had practicas, just practicing teaching and that stuff. Then we had lunch and it was a torta, my comp was kind enough to give me half of his
. I got to see Elder Bowen again, tuff tuff tuff, gl. Then we went home and Saturday and Sunday weren't very successful but thats all good.

We did get to go to a members house in the city Cardenas last night and the kids knew english so that was awesome, he talked about how he likes american football. We ate some grasshoppers, but only a little. Besides that it was my best meal here, chicken ,beans , rice, tomatoes, salsa , tortillas. Basic but great. And got to eat like an apple coconut, dont really know how that happens she explained in spanish and I forgot. And had some of the coconut meat, and same cake, kinda crazy.

Ive been thinking a lot about success and what that means as a missionary. We are told its desire and effort, and I totally agree with that. One of my favorite scripture heroes is Nephi, because when I was a kid he was like the younger brother who was righteous and led his older brothers. But anyways the scripture I like is 1 Nephi 3:7
"And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them."
Basically for me it means whatever I am doing I know their is a purpose, even though I may not see it. And it means that God has a plan for all of us and God gives us commandments to follow but we may not know why and thats okay, its all about faith that it will work out.
If you didnt realize--->>> I can look at emails whenever but cant respond until Mondays
