What matters to you?

Hola Todos,

Cรณmo estamos? Doing good out here, definently seeing the change in my spanish. One challenge I had this last week was exchanges with a brand new missionary, only like 2 weeks here. Super fun, he knew a little spanish, but for the most part I had to do the talking and that was awesome as I also saw some success we found a couple new people who have some interest which is awesome. It was just one day but I gained a lot of confidence that day and I really know I am ready for anything, well sometimes still have to guess what some people are saying, but thats okay. Another fact about him, hes 6"4, 350 lb, sooo yeah we stood out a bit, practiced some street contacting as everyone stared at us.

And finally got this kid to church who is 10 years old but his family is inactive and they are super chill about him getting baptized. Funny thing is he lives 10 seconds walk from our house and maybe a minute walk to the church, but we had to knock on his door to wake him up, good thing his older sister got him ready quick enough.๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿค˜

Sometimes we think too much about being effective and then end up not doing as much as we could. In reality there are more effective ways to find people and the problem is its not super common, its when members give us references or friends that they think would be interested in talking to us. Really it is a lot easier because they are already a little more comfortable. But my point is we cant just wait for those we have to search and help others also.

This also applies in life, this one guy we talked to for like an hour and a half, said he always prays but without any faith, and we were like, okay?? Thats just waiting for something to happen and he told us he hasnt been blessed because he isnt super rich and stuff. And really that made me sad because this guy would really benefit from having faith in Christ, really working to improve his life, and really we can do amazing things with consistent effort, improve our lives and our future. ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘

For him if he wants to be rich, God is not going to give him that he is going to have to work for it. Its faith, we always teach faith includes actions, then we will be blessed. An action of faith could be praying, going to church, and more. And as I read in my personal study, faith is like a seed, we have to keep on watering it, letting it grow, we cant ignore it because it will die. Heres the scripture reference: Alma 32: 28๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ

Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves—It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me

The words are a little interesting but the point is when we have a good seed, the word of God planted in us we will begin to be enlightened little by little with more actions of faith. If your still reading, I challenge you to think of one action of faith you can do everyday this week, good luck!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

But love yall, really hope you all are doing well! Sheesh realized how long this is, I was writing this while my comp was sleeping so had nothing else to do really.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
