Hola todos, cómo estamos? Another exciting week. On Tuesday we worked hard, knocked doors and found some people, some chill people. Then the day Ive been waiting for, finally I went to Mexico City. The reason why I've been waiting awhile is because I've been illegal here for a good bit but dont worry Im good now got my beige card, basically 1 year residency. 




The trip was awesome but terrible at the same time. Loved getting to go to a cold climate, like 70 degrees, honestly was freezing in the morning, like 55 or so, but in the afternoon perfect weather. First day was wednesday we had to go to Villahermosa airport and got to Mexico City late. Got to the temple at like 10 and a huge blessing awaited. They had heated showers, I haven't had a hot shower in over 3 months and it was pretty nice.



Thursday was just waiting forever, but still fun to talk to the other missionaries getting their beige card and got back to the airport then back to Villahermosa, went to Mcdonalds which honestly is just amazing, I love mexican food for sure but fast good just hits different, then we got to sleep like 6 guys in one room it was awesome. Then we got back, and worked hard and found some more people. I'm not going to write too much about them until they really start progressing in their understanding and willingness to follow Jesus Christ.


One scripture I like a lot and I've been thinking about and has helped me understand people better and love people better, it's in the Book of Mormon in 


2 Nephi Chapter 2 Verse 27, and it says.


Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.


It seems simple enough but sometimes it's hard for many to see what is good or action that leads to eternal life, and the guide is the Holy Spirit, it testifies of truth and leads us to the path with Christ. The way we can have the spirit guide us is act, have faith and act with it, pray, read the scriptures and go to church and the main things we can do to gain this guide then be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost which then will guide us in thought and deed to Christ, to God in heaven above.


 I know that this is true and have experienced this more and more as I have grown my faith, my testimony in Christ, and you all can to, always your choice, and I love that so much. I challenge you all to pray tonight to have the Holy Spirit guide you to the truth, and remember it's your choice, your desire, that's what this life is all about.

First week at the Mexico city MTC

  Hey everyone!  I just finished my first week at the Mexico city MTC , prior to that I had two weeks of online training. Nothing crazy happened on the flight here, although both my big suitcases have a broken wheel so gotta fix that soon. The first night was rough, dogs were barking like crazy and police cars sirens were going off all night. The second day we were here my companion Elder Bowen was assigned as District Leader so Elder Foley and I ( we are in a trio- 3 elders) were made house leaders. Basically what that means is Elder Bowen is in charge of any meeting we have in our district, which consists of us 3 elders and 7 hermanas (sisters). For Elder Foley and I it just means we get to run a devotional at our house with about 20 elders once or twice a week.  The food... it started off questionable, first night was pizza which was alright then it was good with tacos almost everyday rotating different types of meat. Hey everyone! This week went by so fast. A lot of things have happened. Second week done at the Mexico City MTC. A lot of learning and eating. We have two classes that are 3 hours each most days and now they are both in Spanish. We are now supposed to talk in only Spanish as well. It's been cool so far although we haven't talked only in Spanish but a good amount. Some highlights. My companions and I started going to the gym for like 15 to 20 minutes each day before we play basketball or pickleball. That's been super fun, especially basketball, we get about 50 minutes each day to exercise in any way we like and it's great. Each Wednesday for us is preparation day and that's today, I get to write emails call home and today go to the temple visitor center, next week the temple will open and that is really exciting that we will get to go. Hola Todos, Esta semana fue muy rápido. I love personal and language study so fun to do what I want and learn so much. Classes are fun as well I just prefer studying different topics. My Spanish has definitely improved, I can understand a lot more and can talk much better although conjugation while talking will take time to learn.  It was a great week, last Friday we introduced a new district of 12 sisters to our zone/branch, super chill people. Although every Friday and Wednesday we have to miss a good chunk of class as being zone leaders it's been great to meet all these people. That day on Friday we also taught a spanish lesson over zoom, the lady we taught was so nice and she even seemed like she had tears at the end. Not much happened on Saturday until Saturday night when about half of our casa got buzz cuts.
